Zazen – a simple exercise in presence

Practice this ancient exercise in presence for 10 minutes

Zazen means ‘seated meditation’. It is a meditative discipline that is typically the primary practice of the Zen Buddhist tradition. Although I personally practice a different type of meditation called Vipassana (meaning “seeing things as they really are”), Zazen is a very effective way to become present. With this exercise, zazen Is easier to get started with than Vipassana. Below you will find the instructions. It will take you about 10 minutes to experience the essence of Zazen and its benefits.
