Millions of people around the world read the book “Start with Why” by Simon Sinek.
And I am one of them.
Sinek teaches us that The Golden Circle consists of ‘Why’, before ‘How’ and ‘What’.
A super inspiring message about leadership and purpose that has been valuable to me and many others.
Recently, I learned a different and more practical way of looking at things. Because what if you don’t start with ‘Why’ but with ‘Who’? In other words: Who can best help me achieve my goals?
This summer, I chose to invest in two areas of my life that are important to me: my entrepreneurship and the level at which I (surf)surf.
Wanting to continue developing myself as an entrepreneur is not such a crazy idea as the owner of a coaching company.
Additionally, I have surfed with a surf coach and video analysis every day for the past 10 days. In those 10 days, I learned more about how I surf than in all the waves I’ve surfed in the past 10 years.
If you want to inspire people and move mountains, start with your ‘Why’.
If you want to work on your own competence, skills, career, or the problems you keep encountering, start with ‘Who’ – Who can teach you about this and help you the best?
